Hope is not just a singular thing but changes for everyone. Hope can be both seen as a good thing and to some a bad thing.

Some Ideas of Hope:

  • A Plant that survives a nuclear explosion. That hope for new life
  • Before dying hoping you’ll see your family again
  • Achieving something in life
  • ¬†Being good at something you do
  • Soldier coming home from a war
  • Travelling to a new place which is a safe haven
  • Hope of Survival

The Impossible is a Film based on a true story. A family go on a holiday to a resort and that same resort gets hit by a Tsunami. Just their luck. The film is very gripping and features many scenes that many people would not watch because they are very graphic. The film shows the terrible fortune of the family that the film is based on experienced. Thankfully during the whole film none of the family die and all make it out with a few scars. Throughout the film many people will hope that the family get out of it alive.

Kubo And the Two strings: This is a film in which Young Kubo’s (Art Parkinson) peaceful existence comes crashing down when he accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from the past. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey ¬†and Beetle to unlock a secret legacy. Armed with a magical instrument, Kubo must battle the Moon King and other gods and monsters to save his family and in the course hopes to solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known.

Although both films could have negative endings, the main characters never give up hope and that feeling is present all the way through the films. Both films also emphasise the importance of family, reconciliation and hope.
